Scola, de una corte de Miami donde enfrenta los cargos de conspiraci\u00f3n para el lavado de dinero, rechaz\u00f3 una solicitud del colombiano de modificar la calificaci\u00f3n de pr\u00f3fugo de la justicia a Saab.<\/p>\n<p>La defensa de Saab ped\u00eda tambi\u00e9n responder a las acusaciones de la Fiscal\u00eda de Estados Unidos sin pisar el pa\u00eds, lo que tambi\u00e9n neg\u00f3 el juez Scola.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abSaab Moran no puede afrontar su condici\u00f3n de fugitivo y su acusaci\u00f3n hasta que est\u00e9 f\u00edsicamente presente en esta jurisdicci\u00f3n (EE.UU.)\u00bb, asegur\u00f3 entonces el juez.<\/p>\n<p>Saab, que apel\u00f3 el fallo completo de Scolla, est\u00e1 acusado en Estados Unidos de conspirar para lavar dinero y de lavado de instrumentos financieros, al igual que su mano derecha, \u00c1lvaro Enrique Pulido, tambi\u00e9n colombiano.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abSaab Moran es un fugitivo\u00bb, insisti\u00f3 el juez en el fallo de marzo pasado.<\/p>\n<p>Detall\u00f3 que un acusado es pr\u00f3fugo \u00absi intencionalmente evita el arresto huyendo, escondi\u00e9ndose o permaneciendo ausente de la jurisdicci\u00f3n\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Saab est\u00e1 detenido en Cabo Verde en raz\u00f3n de una orden de captura con fines de extradici\u00f3n solicitada por Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con la acusaci\u00f3n, Saab y Pulido lavaron hasta 350 millones de d\u00f3lares que supuestamente defraudaron a trav\u00e9s del sistema de control cambiario en Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el Departamento de Justicia de EE.UU., entre noviembre de 2011 y septiembre de 2015, Saab y Pulido se confabularon con otros individuos para lavar sus ganancias il\u00edcitas y transferirlas desde Venezuela hasta cuentas bancarias en EE.UU., raz\u00f3n por la que Washington
