(OMS) dio este lunes 18 de septiembre, voz alarma sobre las enfermedades no transmisibles, la mayor causa de muertes en el mundo, e inst\u00f3 a los pa\u00edses a hacer m\u00e1s para alcanzar los objetivos que se hab\u00edan fijado en el a\u00f1o 2015, el cual se trata de reducir el tercio de la tasa de mortalidad prematura debida a enfermedades no transmisibles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ginebra, Suiza, 18 d septiembre de 2017 (D58).-<\/strong> El primer informe de evaluaci\u00f3n, la OMS indic\u00f3 que; \u00abel mundo no est\u00e1 en el buen camino para alcanzar el objetivo\u00bb, el cual fue propuesta entre el periodo 2015-2030, es el de reducir en un tercio la tasa de mortalidad prematura debida a enfermedades no transmisibles.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abHubo algunos progresos, pero fueron limitados\u00bb, declar\u00f3 a los medios, Douglas Bettcher, director del departamento de Prevenci\u00f3n de Enfermedades No Transmisibles de la OMS.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa ventana de oportunidades para salvar vidas se cierra\u00bb, advirti\u00f3, subrayando que \u00abse necesitan acciones urgentes\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Las enfermedades no transmisibles matan cada a\u00f1o a m\u00e1s de 40 millones de personas, 15 millones de entre 30 y 70 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/OMS-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-71089\" src=\"http:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/OMS-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"446\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/OMS-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/OMS-1-300x209.jpg 300w, \u00abprematuros\u00bb, se producen en pa\u00edses de ingresos bajos o medios, seg\u00fan la OMS, que indic\u00f3 que esta \u00abepidemia est\u00e1 alimentada por la pobreza, el comercio de productos perjudiciales para la salud, la urbanizaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida y el crecimiento de la poblaci\u00f3n\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Las enfermedades cardiovasculares son responsables de la mayor parte de las muertes debidas a enfermedades no transmisibles, 17,7 millones al a\u00f1o, seguidas de los c\u00e1nceres (8,8 millones), enfermedades respiratorias (3,9 millones) y la diabetes (1,6 millones).<\/p>\n<p>Es por ello que la OMS fij\u00f3 19 objetivos, incluyendo el aumento del precio del tabaco, la adopci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas nacionales para reducir el consumo de sal o la promoci\u00f3n de la lactancia materna, para medir la eficacia de la lucha contra estas enfermedades.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el informe, Costa Rica e Ir\u00e1n son los dos pa\u00edses m\u00e1s \u00abeficientes\u00bb en la materia, pues cumplieron con 15 de los 19 objetivos.<\/p>\n<p>Estar\u00edan seguidos de Brasil, Bulgaria, Turqu\u00eda, Reino Unido, Finlandia, Noruega, Arabia Saudita y Tailandia.<\/p>\n<p>En el lado opuesto, seis pa\u00edses no realizaron ninguno de los objetivos fijados por la OMS: Angola, Guinea Ecuatorial, Guinea-Bissau, Sud\u00e1n del Sur, Santo Tom\u00e9 y Pr\u00edncipe y
