{"id":75777,"date":"2017-12-15T14:50:36","date_gmt":"2017-12-15T18:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/?p=75777"},"modified":"2017-12-15T14:50:36","modified_gmt":"2017-12-15T18:50:36","slug":"15-de-diciembre-natalicio-de-cristobal-rojas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/2017\/12\/15\/15-de-diciembre-natalicio-de-cristobal-rojas\/","title":{"rendered":"15 de diciembre: Natalicio de Cristobal Rojas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-75778 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Cristobal_Rojas.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Cristobal_Rojas.jpg 800w, https:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Cristobal_Rojas-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/digital58.com.ve\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Cristobal_Rojas-768x403.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>El 15 de diciembre de 1858 naci\u00f3 en C\u00faa, estado Miranda, uno de los pintores venezolanos m\u00e1s importantes del siglo XIX, Crist\u00f3bal Rojas, se supo diferenciar de otros pintores de la \u00e9poca, m\u00e1s interesado en los hechos hist\u00f3ricos locales o los retratos, por tratar temas como miseria y muerte.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela, 15 de diciembre de 2017 (D58).- <\/strong>Tuvo una significativa trayectoria en los salones de arte de Par\u00eds y tambi\u00e9n en Caracas, debido a los encargos que recibi\u00f3 por parte del gobierno venezolano.<\/p>\n<p>Es junto a Arturo Michelena, uno de los m\u00e1s importantes pintores del siglo XIX venezolano. Fueron sus padres el m\u00e9dico Crist\u00f3bal Rojas y Alejandra Poleo. Los primeros estudios los realiz\u00f3 bajo la tutela de su abuelo Jos\u00e9 Luis Rojas, quien estimul\u00f3 su vocaci\u00f3n para el dibujo.<\/p>\n<p>Al fallecer su padre y debido a su condici\u00f3n de hijo primog\u00e9nito, se vio en la necesidad de entrar a trabajar en una f\u00e1brica de tabaco para ayudar econ\u00f3micamente a su familia (1870). Como consecuencia del terremoto que en 1876 asol\u00f3 la regi\u00f3n, Crist\u00f3bal y su familia se dirigieron a Caracas en donde no obstante prosigui\u00f3 sus estudios de pintura.<\/p>\n<p>Durante este tiempo asiste a las clases de Jos\u00e9 Manuel Mauc\u00f3 en la Universidad Central de Venezuela. En 1881, realiza sus primeros \u00f3leos Ruinas de C\u00faa y Ruinas del templo de la Merced, los cuales representan el desastre sufrido por C\u00faa en 1876. Ese mismo a\u00f1o, conoce a Antonio Herrera Toro, quien le ofrece un trabajo como ayudante en la decoraci\u00f3n de la catedral de Caracas.<\/p>\n<p>En 1889, Rojas abandona la pintura de efectos dram\u00e1ticos que era costumbre enviar al Sal\u00f3n Oficial y aborda el paisaje y la figura, con un colorido pr\u00f3ximo al de los impresionistas. En 1890, minado por la tuberculosis regresa a Venezuela una vez que su pensi\u00f3n hab\u00eda sido suspendida en 1887 por orden de Antonio Guzm\u00e1n Blanco.<\/p>\n<p>Entre las obras que trajo consigo, figuraban El Purgatorio (1890), la cual hab\u00eda sido encargada por el Cabildo Eclesi\u00e1stico y un retrato del presidente Juan Pablo Rojas Pa\u00fal.<\/p>\n<p>Al poco tiempo de su regreso al pa\u00eds, fallece. La actual Escuela de Artes Pl\u00e1sticas de Caracas lleva su nombre. Sus restos reposan en el Pante\u00f3n Nacional desde el 27 de diciembre de 1958.<\/p><div class=\"shizs69f4d9a9cbbad\" ><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/noticiasdigital58\"
